Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus rhamnosus for dietary supplements.

Natural probiotics are micro-organisms, i.e. living beings invisible to the naked eye, no larger than a few hundred micrometers. This microscopic world is rich and complex, with some 10 million different species already identified… and that’s just a tiny fraction of the actual number present on earth. Our intestine alone is home to more than 1,000 species, or almost 40,000 billion bacteria, which make up our intestinal microbiota, making it probably the most densely populated ecosystem on the planet. For each of these species, there is a multitude of strains with diverse and varied characteristics.

Many of these diverse intestinal flora are of no particular interest to our bodies. Some of these can be harmful, sometimes leading to or the development of more or less serious illnesses.

Others, on the other hand, bring real health benefits to our organism and also help maintain the fundamental balance of our intestinal flora.

These beneficial micro-organisms are commonly referred to as “probiotics”.

Our comfort and well-being depend in particular on the constitution of our intestinal microbiota and its diversity of natural probiotics.
This diversity makes it essential to research and select strains in order to identify those that are truly worthy of interest.

The Sorbial laboratory, with its many years of experience in micro-organism biotechnology, has been able to isolate and sequence a multitude of lactobacillus strains using cutting-edge scientific techniques and in partnership with the world’s leading teams of experts in the field of probiotics: INRAe and the MICALIS institute. Sorbial thus has its own “strain stock library”.

A beneficial synergy

to keep your body in balance

Given the potential of these micro-organisms for the intestinal microbiota, a partnership between INRAe (the French national research institute for agriculture, food and the environment) and the SORBIAL laboratory has been set up to assess the extent of their probiotic characteristics.
Our strains, species of the genus lactobacillus, have been studied by teams from INRAe and the MICALIS Institute. A great deal of research has been carried out into their anti-inflammatory, anti-pathogenic and other probiotic properties, suggesting a wide range of applications and benefits that you can enjoy with our various lactobacillus-rich food supplements.
LYOPROFORM® dietary supplements are not simply assemblages of probiotic lactic cultures purchased from industrial suppliers, but a scientifically selected combination grown in synergy according to a manufacturing process that the SORBIAL laboratory has mastered and perfected.
